Sister Neapolitan was founded on the idea of the divine qualities of female harmony. When it comes down to it Alana Margolis, Katie Smith and Megan Rose Ellsworth purely love to sing together. The voices of these women blend beautifully as the trio, Sister Neapolitan. Their respective songwriting careers complement the concept of this band, bringing together stunning original content as well as covers with new age and folk-inspired twist.
They met while attending the University of Colorado at Denver music program and continue to study there together under songwriting and business professors alike. Hailing from different home states, upon first meeting it was as if they had known each other their entire lives. Smith is from the Eastern Tri-Cities area of Washington state, Margolis hails from Allentown, PA and Ellsworth call the small town of Camp Sherman, Oregon home.
The trio has been featured on Swallowhillmusic.org, 303 Magazine, and KGNU radio. The three songstresses have played the Sisters Folk Festival, Underground Music Showcase and the SXSW Women Crush Music Showcase in Austin, TX. They have also been on one self-routed tour down the West Coast and another routed around Nashville, TN. The ice cream themed band has played alongside bands the likes of Kinesics, Anthony Ruptak, Paul Dehaven (formerly of Paper Bird), David Beckingham and Avenhart. Sister Neapolitan plans to release their debut album this year, and to continue bringing harmony into the world.
